Jan Lennard Struff, who could not win back-to-back matches in his first eight tournaments of the season, improved his form by winning exactly two matches in the recent three tournaments, at Monte Carlo (R16), Budapest (QF) and Munich (QF).
Making his debut at the Madrid Masters this week, the German will be hoping to have a good run considering he failed (to an extent) in the season’s previous three Masters 1000 events, at Indian Wells (R1), Miami (R1) and Monte Carlo (R16).
