Picks Soccer Preview Dep. La Coruna vs Espanyol

Round 25 of La Liga (LL) kicks off on Friday with a clash of two teams in need of a win. Both the ‘Pericos’ and the Galician side are experiencing a winless streak that they’ll want to reverse.
After two fixtures, former AC Milan player Clarence Seedorf hasn’t found the way to get his Dep. La Coruna team scoring. Since the Dutchman coach took charge, the team hasn’t scored a single goal in 315 minutes of competitive action.
After Málaga, Deportivo are the worst home team in LL. Last season, they gained seven of their eight total wins at home (87.5%). In contrast, this term they have only three wins at Riazor so far.
With just eight points and one win in eleven matches, Espanyol will visit the Riazor stadium as the fourth worst away side in LL. However, the Catalan side have had only one loss in their last four away fixtures.
Deportivo fans booed the team off after their 1-0 home loss against Alavés, which makes this clash a key one for the Galician side. Six-goal Florin Andone said that “every game is a final from now on”.

Pick Soccer Players:

Lucas Pérez is not performing at the same level as he did before his Arsenal loan. The striker hasn’t scored since November, but has a good record against today’s opposition (W1, D2, L1) with two goals from his highly-praised ‘15/’16 season.
Together with Celta and Málaga, Deportivo are the favourite prey for Espanyol’s ten-goal Gerard Moreno. He has netted four times in three fixtures versus the Galician side.

Strategy Picks Soccer:

Espanyol have scored at least once in the previous five away games.
Head-to-head, Deportivo have the better record hosting Espanyol (W3, D1, L1).
The ‘Pericos’ have three draws in the last three games.
