Playing only the second Masters 1000 event of his career, Liam Broady has already secured three straight-set wins this week, having defeated Henri Laaksonen and Filip Peliwo in the qualifying stages.
The 24-year-old Broady was going through a five-match losing run before entering the Miami Open. Apart from progressing to the semifinal at Rennes Challenger, he couldn’t register any notable results so far this season.
