Slutsk vs Energetik-BGU Betting Predictions and Odds

Are the Pegasi expanding their series?

If FC Slutsk hosts FC Energetik-BGU in the highest Belarusian division, then after seven out of 30 match days, it is actually the top game in the Vysshaya League.

After all, the landlords surprisingly still occupy the top position in the table with the striking Pegasus in the club coat of arms, while the fourth from the capital also far exceeded expectations.

The big question is whether FC Slutsk, which became a real internet phenomenon in the wake of the Corona crisis, can continue to soar against the “students”. Which bookmaker at Slutsk offers the best odds against Energetik-BGU can be found in the odds comparison of the betting base.

The Pegasi, who collected 16 out of 21 possible points, are the favorites. Nevertheless, attractive odds of 2.20 are available for the next home threesome for the Blues, which makes it very tempting to bet on Vitali Pavlov’s team.

For Slutsk against Energetik-BGU, the prediction must also include the coldness of the Pegasi in front of the opposing goal. With 14 goals this season, the leader of the table is by far the best offensive in the country, while the guests from Minsk “only” have to throw the fifth best defense on the scales.

With nine goals conceded by the blue team, it could be possible for the “students” at City Stadium in Slutsk to score a goal, but in the end, after five games in a row without defeat and three wins in a row, the pegasi’s chest should be a little too wide to be to be slowed down by the twelfth of the previous season in this home game.

Slutsk – Statistics & current form

It is truly one of the craziest Cinderella stories that is happening in Belarus near the state capital Minsk in Slutsk. In 1998 the club was founded with the Pegasus in the club coat of arms. In 2014, the blues rose to the Vysshaya League. And they currently top the table after 16 out of 21 possible points after seven game days.

What makes this story all the more special: Because there are hardly any games because of the Corona crisis, a real fan cult developed from the Australian area because of the funny meaning of the club and city name in the English language. The FC Slutsk Worldwide group is now followed by more than 6,500 soccer fans from all over the world on Facebook alone.

The ultimate beneficiary of the corona crisis

Even an English-language club anthem with the name “We love our Slutsk” has already emerged, which, to make matters worse, sounded Australian flags attached to the fences on the past match days through the city stadium at home. This also contributes to the increasing hype that was able to fully stabilize the clammy club.

It is all the more remarkable that those involved can also be pushed to achieve new and best performances. Although the Blues finally managed to stay in the league last season when they were eleventh, they are now playing sensationally for the championship.

Above all, offensive with enormous punch

The way in which Vitali Pavlov’s kickers play is also very attractive for the low-goal Vysshaya League. With 14 goals this season, Slutsk is the absolute goal factory of Belarus and sometimes showed thrilling offensive football, even though four of the last five games could only be won by one goal and with a total of six goals.

As long as the Pegasi continue to score more than the competition, the flight continues. No wonder that the protagonists’ chest is particularly wide these days, because in Slutsk against Energetik-BGU tip 1 is clearly underlined by the momentum of the Blues, who remained completely undefeated in April and won four of their five league games.

It is clear that the students have to dress warmly, because even on this eighth game day there is only one way for the offensive artists around Umar Muhammad Bala and Artem Serdyuk: the escape to the front.

Probable lineup of Slutsk:

Pankratov – Trubilo – Koanda – Takulov – Chebotaev – Teterenko – Bala – Semenov – Kozlov – Veljko – Serdyuk

Energetik-BGU – Statistics & current form

Energetik-BGU is also a comparatively young team without a remarkable history. Founded in 1996, the trip for the club from the capital Minsk started in the Vysshaya League in 2002. BGU stands for “State University of Belarus”, which is why energetics is also nicknamed “The Students”.

As early as 2005, however, the whites also descended and disappeared from the sinking, from which they only rose again with the vice championship in the second-highest division in the country in 2018.

After all, Vladimir Belyavski’s team held the class in twelfth of the previous season, but hardly anyone expected a lot from the capitals for the new season.

Started strong, but then abated considerably

In fact, the students had a dream start at the beginning of the season, when not only could the Belarusian flagship BATE Borisov be brought to their knees 3-1 at the start of the league, but also the subsequent games against FC Minsk and Rukh Brest were won without conceding a goal.

After three victories from the opening games, however, the worm was in the game of the students, who then suffered three defeats in a row in April, in the course of which they did not succeed in scoring a single goal. After a brief soaring high, the whites seemed to have returned to reality.

Did Belyavski find a working system?

However, the measures taken by coach Vladimir Belyavski, who had initially deviated from the flat 3-5-2 system after the fourth matchday and switched to the defensive four-man chain, paid off at the latest last weekend. What missed the punch of the first three league games three times in a row, especially in the game forward, drew against Smolevichi.

In 4-1-4-1, the students took a 2-0 win away and were able to return to fourth place in the table with their fourth win in the seventh game.

At Slutsk against Energetik-BGU, the odds do include the fact that proof that the mini-crisis has really been overcome has yet to be provided. Nevertheless, the Minsk club with its head held high can travel to Slutsk for the team of the hour.

Coach Vladimir Belyavski only has to put up with a drop of bitterness: the 20-year-old shooting star Aleksandr Svirepa, of all people, saw the traffic light card in the 2-0 win over Smolevichi and will miss this away game blocked by the leaders of the table.

Probable lineup of Energetik-BGU:

Sadovsky – Atemengue – Mawata – Musahagian – Sokol – Nosko – Shkurdyuk – Sovpel – Miroshnikov – Tweh – Jakhshibaev

Slutsk vs Energetik-BGU Direct comparison

Head to head: 1 – 1 – 0

In fact, the 2019 season was the first and only season so far in which the two comparatively young clubs were represented in the same division. Because there was also no duel in the cup, the “head to head” balance only shows these two games.

In the first meeting in Slutsk, the teams split on March 31, 2019 with a goalless draw before the Pegasi won the away game in Minsk 1-0 on July 19, 2019. So far, the students have neither won nor scored against the Blues.
