Columbus Crew vs. New York Red Bulls Soccer Prediction

On a weekend in which the four teams that occupy the top from the East Conference, the certainty with which we leave is that there will be changes in the composition of this quartet. When Columbus and Red Bulls have entered the field, already the top two finishers will have resolved the dispute between themselves, opening up, then, the perspectives of the Crew to be able to rise positions in the table. For the men of New York, this is a game to shorten differences from the front.

The Columbus Crew have a less-than-happy season, having drawn ties in their last two MLS games.

Still, there were draws against very strong teams such as Sporting Kansas City, one of the strongest teams in the Western Conference, and Toronto FC, who despite a rather humble position at the table maintains all the characteristics that made the Canadian champions in 2017.
Prospecting the US Open Cup as an opportunity to change the course of things, the Crew were eliminated by the Chicago Fire in the penalty shootout, requiring eleven players to try their luck.

In the end, it was goalkeeper Logan Ketterer who missed the decisive shot.

The New York Red Bulls also lost points in the last two days of Major League Soccer, which prevented them from reaching this meeting closer to the Crew in the standings.

A home draw against the Philadelphia Union had a bitter taste, but it would have been even worse to lose on the New England Revolution field trip, with that result reaching the Red Bulls on the table.

Fortunately for Jesse Marsch’s team, the US Open Cup offered an opportunity to make a positive start to the season, with a 4-0 win over New York City rivals.

Prediction Columbus Crew vs. New York Red Bulls:

They are, therefore, two top teams looking to return to MLS victories, with greater responsibilities for the home men, but with the Red Bulls having all the qualities to come to Ohio to score points.

Prediction Today: Under 10 corners
Odds: 1.60
