The pelicans are not really gaining momentum. After their strong start to the season, everyone in New Orleans thought that they had finally set up a winning team again, but it doesn’t seem that clear.
Eric Bledsoe and Lonzo Ball, in particular, don’t really compliment each other in the backup. Against the Hornets, Lonzo was clearly outdone by his brother LaMelo.

However, he should succeed, because expectations in the city of jazz are high. With Zion Williamson (# 1 pick 2019) they have at least one of the upcoming superstars on the roster and with Ingram and Ball two other former # 2 picks.
Best line-up by draft position in the league
Since Steven Adam (No. 12 picks) and Eric Bledsoe (No. 18 picks) were also selected among the top 20 in their age groups, their starting five consists of former top 20 picks. No other team can show that.
However, that alone will not help them against the Mavs on Monday. Above all, the Suns have to whip up their downtown hit rate. At 32.2%, it’s worse than ever in franchise history and the second-worst in the NBA.
With J.J. Reddick is even one of the best shooters in the squad in recent years. If they manage to increase their odds of three to over 35%, then the turnaround can succeed, even against the Mavs. In Dallas against New Orleans, our prediction is a duel on equal terms.
