Hyeon Chung vs Martin Klizan Tennis Prediction

The 2014 Munich Champion Martin Klizan trails the H2H 0-1 against the Korean youngster (ATP Munich 2017). Their previous meeting was very closely fought and considering Klizan’s current form, he could once again push the world #22 Hyeon Chung.

Hyeon Chung News

Playing his first match since the Miami Open, Hyeon Chung looked ever so comfortable as he dispatched the wildcard entrant Matthias Bachinger in straight sets, 6-1 6-1.
This is Hyeon Chung’s second consecutive quarterfinal appearance here at Munich. In 2017 (debut appearance), he defeated Martin Klizan (next opponent) in the quarterfinal before losing to Guido Pella in the semifinal.
This is also the 21-year-old Korean’s seventh consecutive quarterfinal appearance of the season. Apart from facing the second round defeat at Brisbane in the first week of January, he has made at least the quarterfinal in all other seven tournaments that he entered so far in 2018.
However, Heyon Chung lost five of the previous six quarterfinal matches with the only win coming against Tennys Sandgren in the Australian Open. He will now be hoping to end his poor record in the quarterfinals.

Martin Klizan News

Martin Klizan lost the first set and even found himself trailing *0-3 in the deciding set against Mirza Basic before he managed to fight his way back into the contest in a brilliant fashion, 4-6 6-3 7-5.
It was Klizan’s fourth win of the week, including his wins over Ernests Gulbis and Jozef Kovalik in the qualifying stages. Notably, he lost the first set in three of those four matches.
Klizan will be looking to avoid his second consecutive quarterfinal exit on tour (lost QF to Rafael Nadal at Barcelona last week) as well as in Munich (lost QF to Hyeon Chung in 2017).For today we propose: Chung vs Klizan for online betting.
