Mischa Zverev vs Martin Klizan Betting Tips

Last week, the Swiss Roger Federer achieved the next milestone in his long career. At the ATP tournament in Dubai, the exceptional player was able to celebrate his 100th tournament victory on the ATP Tour. In Mexican Acapulco scandal-boy Nick Kyrgios caused a furore with a strong week. After a few days break on the tour, the first Masters event of the current season starts this week. The top stars of the tennis scene in the desert of Indian Wells face each other. The seeded players have a bye in the first round. An interesting first-round match is the duel between Mischa Zverev and Martin Klizan!

Tennis Betting Tips Mischa Zverev vs Martin Klizan

For the older brother of Alexander Zverev the appearance in Indian Wells will be only the third single game this season. As the current number 75 in the world, he has made the cut gossamer and therefore did not have to compete in qualifying. Sooner or later, however, Mischa Zverev will have to celebrate successes again so that he can maintain his position. Mischa Zverev is clear underdog against Martin Klizan according to current odds. The Slovak celebrated a successful comeback in 2018 after many injuries and fought back into the advanced world class.

Mischa Zverev – Statistics & Current Form

🎾 Current ranking in the world rankings: 75.
Position in the seedling list: unset

In 2018 Mischa Zverev had to give up in the first round of the Australian Open and was then condemned to a large fine, since he was accused of having been in the run-up to the game not been fit. He just wanted to pocket the prize money. Fitness was a question mark this year as well. Against local hero Alexei Popyrin Zverev was certainly not at his best, but this time did not give up and thus at least secured the lush entry fee. However, Mischa Zverev took another break after being eliminated in Down Under and dropped out of tournaments (including Montpellier). Just last week he celebrated his comeback, but with Rafael Nadal in the first round of Acapulco he had no luck. With 3: 6 and 3: 6 it set the expected defeat for the predestined serve-and-volley-player. He never really got into the game and could only win 64% of the points after his first serve. In the style of Mischa Zverev a weak value. Especially the number of unforced errors was far too high. The lack of match practice was clearly noticeable to him.

Meanwhile, Mischa Zverev has been waiting for a win since the 14th of August on the single tour. In the first round of the Master of Cincinnati, he once defeated Damir Dzumhur. Since then it put for the German no less than ten (!) Defeats in series. Given these numbers, his first appearance in the Indian Wells desert is unlikely to win. For a success of Mischa Zverev against Martin Klizan a odds of 3.00 is offered. Given the current defeat series is therefore a tip on Klizan interesting. But without self-confidence, the hamburger does not have to travel to Indian Wells. Last week, he was able to celebrate the second tournament victory alongside his brother Alexander Zverev in the double competition of Acapulco. After all, there is running for Mischa Zverev as desired – in the individual, however, the number 75 in the world is still a good distance from the top form.

Martin Klizan – Statistics & Current Form

🎾Current ranking in the world rankings: 50.
Position in the seedling list: unset

The years 2016 and 2017 were not particularly successful for the Slovak Martin Klizan. Also due to injuries he graduated in both years less than 40 games on the ATP tour. The former number 25 in the world was ranked in the world rankings. At the end of February 2018, he was only ranked 181 in the world rankings due to the poor performance. Klizan, who had already won five ATP tournaments (even two 500 tournaments), had to fight his way back to the top of the world on the Challenger Tour. The year 2018 was characterized accordingly by the change between Challenger and ATP tour. A 57:20 balance was ultimately extremely positive and made for the return to the top 50 in the world. The highlight of the past season was finally the title win in the Nobel ski resort Kitzbühel, as he was able to secure the title from the qualification.

The Slovak can certainly be described as a clay court specialist. However, he has already been able to celebrate two of his six tournament victories on hard court (but both indoor). So far this year, Klizan has played nine games and celebrated four wins. Although the form of Klizan is by no means outstanding, in comparison to Mischa Zverev it presents itself much more firmly established. In mid-February, Klizan lost to Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics in two sets in his final game.

Last week, Klizan should have started in Acapulco. However, the Slovak was slightly battered and reluctant to participate in the Sunshine Double in Indian Wells and Miami. This was officially a pure precaution and should have no effect on the match against Mischa Zverev.

🎾 07.02.2019 – Klizan vs. Brands 7-6, 6-4 (Sofia)
🎾 06.02.2019 – Klizan vs. Basic 6-0, 3-6, 6-2 (Sofia)

Zverev vs Klizan – Head to Head Statistics

Head-to-Head: 0: 2

In the desert of Indian Wells, the two players will face each other for the third time. The first duel in 2012 was completed at the Challenger level. In Heilbronn Klizan prevailed on hard court in two sets. The last – and so far the only duel on ATP level – was also contested in Germany. At the clay court tournament in Munich Mischa Zverev could not exploit the home advantage and slid into a debacle. Only three games (2: 6 1: 6) decided the Hamburger for himself.

What’s wrong with Mischa Zverev? The now 31-year-old Hamburger threatens to fall out of the top 100 in the near future. After ten individual defeats in a row, Alexander Zverev’s older brother has been waiting for more than half a year to win the ATP Tour. However, it may well be his brother’s incentive to present himself in Indian Wells at its best. Finally, the winner of this game meets the number three in the world. In view of the recent results, however, a tip on the Germans is not recommended between Mischa Zverev and Martin Klizan.
