Taking a deep breath was the order of the day for Frank de Boer last Sunday. After the new Bondscoach and Koeman successor had not won four times in a row, the long-awaited first victory finally succeeded in the home game against Bosnia. Thanks to an early double from Gigi Wijnaldum (6th & 14th), Elftal was able to live up to its role as a favourite and maintain the chances of participating in the Nations League final again.
Before the last match against Poland in Chorzow, the Oranje must hope for help from that Bosnian. Only if Italy did not win on Wednesday evening and Netherlands beat Poland at the same time, the De Boer team would jump to first place and fix the group win.
