Arsenal – Burnley Soccer Prediction

The last home match of Arsene Wenger’s almost 22-year reign as Arsenal manager is sure to be an emotional affair for the Frenchman, although for a majority of Arsenal fans the wait for a change of direction and next season can’t come quick enough!
Arsenal’s last hope of silverware and qualification to the money-spinning Champions League evaporated on Thursday with their 1-0 loss at Atletico Madrid (2-1 aggregate) in the Europa League.
The league campaign has been another huge disappointment, with the team sitting in sixth place just three points above their visitors on the day. Arsenal continued their horrible run of away form in the PL last time out, losing 2-1 in injury time to Manchester United to mark their sixth-straight away loss. At home they are a different beast, winning 14, drawing two and losing two.
Burnley and their manager Sean Dyche have had a season to remember and they are set to qualify for European competition for the first time since 1966/’67.
The side from Turf Moor have had a small dip recently, failing to win in their last three (D2, L1) including a 0-0 draw at home to Brighton last time out. Their away form over the season has been good, however, gaining 28 points on their travels compared to 26 at home. They are unbeaten in their last four away days (W3, D1).

Players to watch:

Henrik Mkhitaryan scored in the last PL game and has three league goals since his late January transfer.
Ashley Barnes is Burnley’s in-form player with the club’s last two goals. He has nine for the season.

Stat attack:

Arsenal have won the last seven games against Burnley in all competitions.
Arsenal have scored the most goals from set pieces in the PL this season with 16.
Burnley are the only PL side not to have been awarded a penalty this season, they also haven’t had a player red carded this campaign.

Soccer Prediction: Arsenal win
Odds: 1.53
