FaZe managed to take second place in what is probably the most difficult group in the ESL Pro League. A win against EG on the last day of the group games still secured the ticket for the following tournament phase. On the first day of the second stage, FaZe had to defeat fnatic relatively clearly. Only NiKo was convincing. The rest of the team, especially olofmeister, have to find their way back to their old strength individually.
At the end of last year, FaZe announced their new IGL with NiKo. The star player, who has been with the organization since 2017, is best known for his incredibly good and constant aim. After a few initial doubts, the new team convinced.
With his good aim, NiKo often manages to open the rooms according to his ideas and, based on them, to set the direction. Not forcing your star player into a model from another announcer and using him as an IGL is a risky variant that has paid off completely at FaZe and has paved the way for the team to become a world leader.
The organization is primarily known from the COD scene and founded its first CS: GO team in 2010. After a few player changes and many well-known personalities, they seem to have reached a functioning lineup. In 2019, however, there were only two A-tier successes.
