Matthijs de Ligt and Justin Kluivert are two of Ajax’s youngsters who want Barcelona in the summer. According to Spanish media, the two were recently seen through the city.
After making two big matches with England and Portugal, defender De Ligt came to Barcelona with some friends for touristic purposes only, but Camp Nou officials learned of his presence.
At the two friendly matches, the Catalan club officials monitored it from the scene but assured that the 18-year-old’s presence in the capital of Catalonia had nothing to do with the transfer. De Ligt is also on the Juventus list. This season, De Ligt played 31 matches for Ajax and scored 3 goals. The defender has three selections in the national team of the Netherlands.
However, Ajax officials are afraid Barcelona will not deal with De Ligt as they did with the Brazilian Athur who, although signed with Barcelona, will only arrive on the New Camp in January 2019, during which Barcelona must release a extra-community place.
Besides Ligt, the same day was seen in Barcelona and the son of Patrick Kluivert, Justin. The 18-year-old even posted on a social networking picture a Barcelona picture where he had a luxury residence to visit the city.
Justin is one of the four sons of former striker Patrick Kluivert, who made history when he played in Barcelona (182 matches, 90 goals).
Justin Kluivert is raised by Ajax Academy and signed the first professional contact in 2016 when he was 16 years old. This season, Justin evolved into 30 official games for Ajax and scored 8 goals.
