Rudolf Molleker vs Jan Lennard Struff Tennis Prediction

The 17-year-old Rudolf Molleker is granted a main draw wildcard by ATP Stuttgart which will allow him to make only his second main draw appearance at this level. He received a qualifying wildcard at ATP Hamburg last season where he scored the biggest wins of his career, against Leonardo Mayer and Casper Ruud.
The German teenager recently won his maiden challenger title at Heilbronn, by defeating the likes of Jiri Vesely, Yannick Hanfmann, and Alexey Vatutin. It’s an incredible achievement considering he had never won a main draw match in Challenger events before entering the Heilbronn 2 Challenger.
Despite enjoying the best moment of his career at the Heilbronn Challenger, he suffered a disappointing first-round defeat at the hands of Brandon Nakashima in the French Open Juniors last week.
Jan Lennard Struff made a terrible start to the season but managed to get back to the winning ways during the clay season by making two consecutive quarterfinal appearances at Budapest and Munich. His 2018 w/l record is still in the negative zone, 11/14.
The German has appeared at ATP Stuttgart six times in the past and reaching the round of 16 twice in 2016 and 2017 is his best result in this tournament.
While Rudolf Molleker will be playing his first match on grass at this level (1/2 in Juniors), Jan Lennard Struff won three matches on this surface in 2017 and holds a career w/l record of 9/19.
This is a big moment in the young Rudolf Molleker’s career, and he will certainly feel the pressure, at least in the early stages of the match. Moreover, the teenager could improve with experience, but at this moment, he hasn’t got the game to trouble an experienced player like Jan Lennard Struff on grass.

Tennis Prediction: Jan Lennard Struff 2-0 SET
Odds: 1.55
