Monaco vs Porto

Last year they were semi-finalists in this competition in which only Juventus stopped them.

They have eliminated very strong teams like Manchester City or Dortmund. Monaco is a team that has quality despite having lost important players like Bernardo Silva or Mbappe.

In the attack they have Hawk who has made many goals and has given the message, João Moutinho also recovered the ownership that was intermittent last year. Monaco are a very well-organized team and have made a lot of players.

Much credit and credits to Leonardo Jardim who is a terrific coach. Monaco are in great shape, come from applied thrashes and even in the Champions League debut they drew 1 goal in Leipzig, a result that can be considered positive.

FC Porto

Porto is the current leader of the Portuguese championship and only knows how to win internally. It is a team that plays good football, with a lot of offensive presence and that even defensively has been well.

The dragons responded well to the surprise defeat with Besiktas by 1-3 at home and beat Rio Ave away from home 2-1 and Portimonense 5-2.

FC Porto have a lot of experience in the Champions League, they are always on the move and they are usually successful in the group stages.

The defeat with Besiktas has conditioned things a bit and Porto knows they can not miss this game. In case of defeat they are much more shaken and they compromise even more the qualification for the eighths.
Prognosis Monaco vs Porto:

Prognosis:

I expect a very difficult match for FC Porto. The blue and white will face Monaco at the best stage they go through this season.

At home Monaco can be even stronger and although Porto this year is equally strong and have a team to beat and beat Monaco, I do not believe in this scenario.

Leonardo Jardim knows the Porto team well, knows that it is a team with good offensive dynamics,

but that defensively does not have a team so cohesive because there are attack players who defend little and this can and should be exploited by Monaco. I expect a balanced game, but with Monaco’s victory.
