Tennis Pick Preview

A very good match for online betting is our tennis pick for today: Roger Federer vs Thanasi Kokkinakis played at ATP – SINGLES: Miami (USA), hard.
This will be the first meeting between these two players. Kokkinakis is an extremely talented player and has got the ability to push Federer (to an extent), but he will still need the Swiss to have an off day to have any chance in this match.

Roger Federer News

For the 19th time in his career, Roger Federer wasted match points and went onto lose the match when he was taken down in three sets by Juan Martin Del Potro in the final of Indian Wells last fortnight, 4-6 7-6 6-7.
“Lots of chances at either end, he should have closed it in the second set, then I was close, served for the match, 2-3 match point, doesn’t matter. Disappointing, it was a good match” – Federer after failing to defend his Indian Wells title.
The last time Federer wasted multiple match points (on serve) in such a big match was at the US Open semifinal in 2011 (vs. Novak Djokovic), and he did not lose a match for rest of the season, winning the title at Basel, Paris Masters, and World Tour Finals.
The Swiss and World #1 is the defending Champion at the Miami Open, and he also won this title on two other occasions, in 2005 and 2006. Roger Federer has never lost a second-round match here, in 14 appearances.

Thanasi Kokkinakis Preview

Thanasi Kokkinakis registered his third straight-set win of the week when he comfortably dispatched Calvin Hemery in the first round, 6-1 6-2. He defeated Taro Daniel and Thiago Monteiro in the qualifying stages earlier this week.
The win against Hemery was the Australian’s maiden win at the Miami Open as he lost his only previous match here in 2015, against Carlos Berlocq.
Thanasi Kokkinakis’ last six matches have all finished in straight sets, with him winning four of them.

Tennis Pick: Roger Federer Corect Score 2-0 SETS
Odds: 1.45
