Yuki Bhambri has won at least two matches in three of the five tournaments that he has entered so far in 2018. He has already won 11 matches this season (11/4), including a runner-up finish at the Chennai Challenger last month.
Bhambri notched up two straight sets win over Denis Novikov and Ramkumar Ramanathan in the qualifying stages to make the main draw of Indian Wells for the first time in his career. His previous main draw match at this level came at the Miami Masters in 2009, where he lost to Diego Junqueira in the first round.

Like Bhambri, Nicolas Mahut looked pretty good in the qualifying stages as he secured two straight set wins against Goncalo Oliveira and Ricardo Ojeda Lara.
The Frenchman has entered the Indian Wells main draw eight times in the past and made it to the third round on two occasions (2007 and 2008). However, he faced a first-round defeat at the hands of Malek Jaziri in 2017.
Nicolas Mahut progressed to the quarterfinals in his previous tournament at Marseille two weeks back, and he must be high on confidence.
