North vs BIG betting prediction & odds ESL Pro League Europa – Esports. Can Berliners defend the group leadership?

From a German perspective, the ESL Pro League Season 11 could not have started better. BIG (Berlin International Gaming) started in Group B as the only German CS: GO team in excellent form and conquered the group leadership with victories over Fnatic (2: 1) and NaVi (2: 0). Last Friday there was a setback for the Berliners.

In the third group game, the top German team suffered a surprising defeat against Complexity. Since the group stage is played in round robin format, BIG may already be enough to win over North on Monday evening to fix a playoff participation.

In the group game between North vs. According to odds, BIG is the German CS: GO team in the favorites role. North should not be underestimated in this match. The team around coach “Jumpy” also won against NaVi and recently had to defeat Fnatic very narrowly. If the Berliners get off to a bad start in the match, depending on the map, there could be the next bad surprise.

North – Statistics & current form

North dreams of the playoffs for the ESL Pro League Season 11. The Danish CS: GO stars have not had any notable success on the big stage in the recent past. Before the current tournament, North participated in the DreamHack Open 2020 in Anaheim. The Danes were one of four invited teams at the $ 100,000 CS: GO event.

ESL Pro League Season 11 as a springboard?

North is the beneficiary of the new tournament format. Due to the numerous changes at the event – including the reduction in the number of teams – the Danes dream of the big title coup. As the results so far show, this objective is not exactly utopian. North has already defeated NaVi, the youngest IEM champion (Katowice).

In addition, the team around the new IGL (in-game leader) “MSL” showed a strong performance against Fnatic. North gave his own map pick with a 12:16 on Vertigo to Fnatic, but draw on the map pick of the Swedes with 16: 9. With MSL, cajunb and aizy, there were three players at North who broke the 20-kill mark on Overpass.

Great pressure on MSL

In the third and decisive map, Fnatic ultimately prevailed. The Danish in-game leader MSL only got four kills across the map, but shouldn’t be used as a scapegoat. North started 3-0 in the meantime, but lost the first half with 5:10. Overall, the presentation of the Danes in comparison to the 0: 2 against forZe was commendable.

In order to survive the group phase, the second victory is now due. North can take a playoff place for the time being. It is therefore all the more important to continue the performance against Fnatic. MSL is currently the worst North player in this tournament with 0.88 K / D ratio and a headshot ratio of 31%. Monday evening shows how the Danes’ IGL handles the great pressure.

For North to win BIG, the highest odds are currently offered at 2.25.

BIG – Statistics & current form

BIG wants to go to the playoffs. The Berliners made a sensational start to the tournament, but surprisingly had to give up in the most recent group game. Despite setbacks in the meantime, there was the well-deserved 16: 9 map win for BIG and thus the 1: 0 lead in this match-up. The German IGL tabseN was the best player on Mirage with 23 kills and an ADR (Average damage per round) of 91.2.

Complexity is fighting back

On the BIG map pick there was a surprising defeat for the German CS: GO team. As expected, Complexity got the CT advantage on the map and had already set the course for the T round with 11: 4. There, five rounds were ultimately enough to force the third map with the draw to 1-1. On Dust2, the last map in this pairing, there was a very close victory for Complexity.

In the 14:16 defeat on Dust2, 27 kills from Xantares and 27 kills from syrsoN were ultimately not enough to defeat the tactically excellent complexity. With the defeat against Complexity, BIG awarded one of three match balls. If the Berliners can assert themselves on Monday evening, a playoff participation will probably be fixed early.

k1to and syrsoN great reinforcement

Since the beginning of the year, syrsoN and k1to have been two new players in the BIG roster. For the two new German CS: GO players in the team, nex and smooya had to clear their seats. As the previous tournament shows, it was a brave but the right decision by the BIG board. Statistically speaking, k1to (1.16 K / D; 58% HS quota) and syrsoN (1.29 K / D; 25% HS odds) are currently the two best BIG players at the tournament.

In combination with sensational questions such as tabseN and XANTARES, the current BIG team has great potential. The match against NaVi already showed that BIG can keep up with the elite of the ESL.

Team Roster:

☄️ Coach: 🇩🇪 Germany tow b

☄️ Player: 🇩🇪 Germany tabseN, 🇩🇪 Germany tiziaN, 🇩🇪 Germany syrsoN, 🇹🇷 Turkey XANTARES, Germany k1to

North vs BIG Maps

BIG is expected to keep the clear line and remove Train as a first ban from the map pool against North. It remains to be seen whether the German CS: GO team will choose Nuke again after the weak performance against Complexity, especially since North is by no means bad for Nuke.

North, like BIG, often avoids train. So far, Inferno and Train have been removed from the map pool in two of the three group games. North will most likely choose Inferno as the first map ban if BIG uses Train as the first ban.

North vs BIG tips & odds

BIG wants to avoid the “Do or Die” game against forZe on the last group match day. In the round robin system, without a back and forth game, a win over North might be the preliminary decision for BIG. In the best scenario, the Berliners can fix the playoff participation early.

North remains unpredictable. To master the match against BIG, more performance from in-game leader MSL will be required. The “new entry” at North has so far been able to set some accents, but according to the statistics it flew largely under the radar.

North, like BIG, won against NaVi.
BIG surprisingly lost to Complexity recently.
If BIG wins the match against North, the group leadership is initially defended.

We would support the role of favorites among bookmakers. BIG has played a strong tournament so far and should not have a hard time with the current roster against North.
